Now, how would this look in your tapas bar? A lovely period piece of publicity commissioned by the cafe-bar Trocadero to celebrate Valencia FC's cup win and to publicise the results of a lottery. Interestingly this piece is firmly located in the time of the authoritarian dictator Franco, The football club are competing in the 'Copa Generalisimo', the address of the cafe is 'Caudillo 3', the street has subsequently been renamed. The artist is Carlos Ruano LLopis (1879-1950). One of the great Spanish poster artists.

In fair condition only, horizontal creasing, a paper loss to the left margin, general wear and foxing. Do any other of these survive? probably not! Lithograph printed by Ortega, Valencia. 53x33.5 cm.
